Over 35 years on and the small French hatchback is still considered by many as the legendary hot hatch of the 1980’s. Exceptional examples with low mileage have seen a surge in value recently with the very best fetching over £38,000 at auction.
This 1993 1.9cc Alpine White example has covered just 39,765 miles from new with an extensive service history file and in our opinion one of the prettiest of colours.

EXTERIOR

This Alpine White non sunroof car is in superb condition with just the smallest of blemishes to be found on inspection. Having received a professional detail the paint work is clean, glossy, bright and swirl free.
The external plastic body trim maintains a correct finish with the slightest of marks to be found on the front and rear bumpers. The bright red inserts offset the Alpine White paintwork beautifully. The original headlamps, driving lamps and rear lightsare in place. All windows have matching etchings and security stickers

INTERIOR

The quartet velour black/red seat trim with leather side bolsters are in fine condition with matching GTi steering wheel and gear knob with grey tufted carpets protected by original Peugeot rubber over mats. The headlining, door cards and dash are free from marks or cracking.
All switch gear and controls function correctly with an original and uncut parcel shelf. The original and correct fitment Clarion 97001F cassette radio is present with matching speakers

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 1905cc GTi’s engine has received a major service to include the following new parts:
Fluids, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, cam belt, water pump, starter motor, centre and rear exhaust and other misc items replaced due to age.

WHEELS, TYRES, BRAKES

The original 15-inch GTi 1.9 alloy wheels look brand new due to receiving a professional refurbishment with matching Peugeot centre caps and new genuine Peugeot wheel bolts.
The vehicle is fitted with 5 new Pirelli premium tyres, 185/55R15 82V with new front and rear discs and pads with new brake fluid.
A set of genuine front mud flaps with matching GTi badges are supplied however these have not been fitted.
The underside, engine and wheel arches have been deep cleaned and protected. The original brake and fuel lines are present with original jack and spanner.

HISTORY FILE

The vehicle was first supplied new by a Peugeot main dealer on 18th April 1994. The current owner purchased the vehicle from a Peugeot main dealer at just 3 years old with 18,236 miles and has since owned the vehicle for over 22 years, with the vehicle SORN for 15 of those.
The 205 GTi’s service history file is vast and contains a selection of V5 documents, Peugeot folder, original stamped Peugeot service book with 1000/1500 mile service stamp and Peugeot main dealer stamps, owners handbook, a vast amount of MOT certificates with accompanying SORN letters, Clarion radio serial card, radio removal key, Peugeot customer information folder with original Peugeot 205 range brochures, all keys with original dealer key ring, Peugeot main dealer number plates, indoor car cover and lastly a Peugeot 205 Haynes work shop manual with the back page hand written documenting service work, dates, mileage and SORN information from 1997 up to 2019!
